  • Why is DRR Processing (DRRP) necessary?

    DRRP fills poultry processing needs for our sister ranch, Deeply Rooted Ranch (DRR), and other regional small farmers and ranchers.

  • Where is DRRP located?

    We are located onsite at Deeply Rooted Ranch in Burton, TX.

  • How many chickens will be processed per day at this facility?

    This will depend on the needs of DRR and other farmers and ranchers in the area.

  • How does DRRP deal with byproducts from the processing?

    Many farmers will retain feet and internal organs to produce value-added products like broths. Other byproducts will be converted to fertilizers and/feeds (e.g. bloodmeal or feather meal) or composted for use in our market gardens and made available for sale to other farmers looking for quality compost.

  • Will DRRP also process turkeys?

    No. Due to the local needs for chicken processing we do not have the capacity to process turkeys at this time.

    We process Monday - Friday

  • Do you process chickens for County Fair Participants?

    Yes, we process chickens for county fairs and stock show participants.
